304 SS high vacuum tubing 1”OD through 4”OD, polished exterior, ID
is laterally polished with 180 grit giving a fine internal finish to
minimize molecular water problems. Tubing is very round and has
excellent welding characteristics. With a random piece of 1 ½”OD X
.065” wall tubing, run-out on the OD averaged <.003”, (very important
for orbital welding and to tees, elbows etc.), outside finish was
between 17-23 micro inch, ID, longitudinal surface scan was between
16-22 micro inch. If you wish to electro-polish this tubing the
mechanical polishing required for a good job is already done and that is
not a small job!
